Metric - The Choice of Scotland

For over 20 years Metric Parking have been supplying pay & display parking machines north of the border. Of the 19 Scottish local authorities currently using pay & display machines,17 of them are Metric customers with over 1,500 Metric pay & display parking machines on their streets and in their car parks.

The City of Stirling uses solar powered Metric machines, the largest number in Scotland, while the granite city of Aberdeen relies on mains powered machines which work reliably in the varying weather conditions on the coast. Not to be outdone, Dundee has some of the oldest Metric pay and display on-street parking machines still operating in Britain. The Autoslots in its city centre are more than twenty years of age - and still going strong!

The Autoslot and the Accent have served Scotland well and now the latest Aura machine is being specified by an ever increasing number of local authorities who recognise the benefits of its most modern state-of-the-art technology. “We are most impressed with the features and capabilities of the Metric Aura,” said Dundee’s Senior Parking Officer, Kenneth Kidd.

“Although it is relatively new to our streets, it is performing to the highest standards and symbolises the council’s desire to further develop high technology in its parking both on and off street.”
