This will help towards our fight to stop Climate Change and also improve our environmental & social impacts at local and global levels, where our main motivation for doing this is sustainability.”
Climate change is our greatest threat. Carbon dioxide is one of the biggest drivers of climate change, and we all know we should be playing our part in reducing and negating carbon emissions.
Trees capture and absorb carbon dioxide from the air, helping us offset the emissions we can’t reduce. They also bring co-benefits including water filtration, shelter, biodiversity and poverty alleviation.
MoreTrees works with non-profit NGOs (non-government organisations) across the world, who work with local communities and farmers to plant trees, combat deforestation and reduce poverty.
Some of their current projects include:
- Madagascar – Partnering with local communities to reforest one of the world’s top biodiversity conservation priorities.
- Kenya – Working with partners to plant forests that channel water, help communities and support wildlife.
- Haiti – Helping local farmers plant trees to protect watersheds and improve food security and supply.
