Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. It also looks at the social, emotional, and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care.
On the 5th of September, Metric’s very own Field Service Engineer Racheal Phillips along with some close friends are setting out along the Jurassic Coast for the 13-milemighty hike in an attempt to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. This is to honour one of the walker’s fathers, Dave Young who recently lost his fight against cancer. Racheal and her walking team are hoping to raise money in the quest to help other people and families receive the help and support they need to see them through the tough times in the fight against the disease.
