Today we proudly celebrate an incredible milestone for Mike, who began his journey with Metric on 10/04/1991, starting as an Assembler in Herne Bay, Kent, at just 17 years old, following in his father Dennis’s footsteps, who started in the mid-50s and retired in 1999.
Over the past 35 years, Mike’s dedication, growth, and expertise have been nothing short of exceptional. His career path is a true reflection of commitment and continuous development:
Assembler – 10/04/1991 (Herne Bay, Kent), Electrical tester, July 1991 to September 1991. Software configuration assistant, Oct 1991- March 2006
Custom Software Programmer – March 2006.
In 2006, Mike made a life-changing move to Swindon following the closure of the Herne Bay factory, with his wife, Davina, who was expecting their daughter, Katie, at the time. Katie would later go on to follow in Mike’s footsteps in the product configuration team.
