While it is sometimes necessary to look outside the business for new people to address any skills gaps, it is our preference to promote from within.
We will always look at our internal capabilities first, recognising and rewarding staff and using the available skills and capabilities to enhance our team as we continue to grow.
It is therefore with the greatest pleasure that we can announce the latest Metric Group promotions:
Nick Heal: Finance Director
Nick joined Metric in 2020 and was previously our Head of Finance. His new role allows him to focus on higher level strategic areas, helping Metric to move into new markets while enhancing our current market position.
Kirsty Kaye-Fulfilment Manager
Kirsty, who started at Metric less than a year ago, will oversee all aspects of an order, tracking machines through the production process and onto delivery and dispatch, answering queries, making sure we have the right information from the customer and keeping the customer informed.

Simon Killane- Product Delivery Manager
Simon has worked at Metric for 5 years in various roles including Design Engineering, Production Engineering and Project Management. His new position draws on aspects of all the previous roles with a focus on delivering the best product solutions to our customers.
Joe McManus: Head of Sales, UK and Ireland
Joe started with Metric in 2020 as part of the sales team.
He says “The changes within Metric over the last few years are huge, we’re introducing new products, and new technology. I am beyond excited to bring these to my customers, and proud to say that they are designed and manufactured in our HQ in Swindon, Britain. My new role with Metric allows me to play a pivotal part in the future changes of the company, and it’s a journey I’m so honoured to be a part of.”
Paul Turley-Training Manager
Paul has worked for Metric as a Technical Support Engineer (on and off) for almost 20 years since 2002.
His new role will use those years of experience and product knowledge to create, organise, and deliver training courses for Metric staff and customers, ensuring maintenance technicians and our own engineers have the knowledge required to work on Metric products.
Steve Wybrow-Implementation Manager
Steve has been with Metric since 2013 as a Senior Technical Consultant working on pay on foot systems.
“My promotion to Implementation Manager takes me to new challenges on all Metric Products, working on the process and procedures to ensure a smooth customer journey from order to installation.”
Matt Hammond-Technical QA Manager
Matt has been working for Metric since 2006 most recently as a Technical support manager. In his new role, he is responsible for hardware and software quality, ensuring updates and changes are correct and working as expected and that any new developments required for machines are being worked on for future improvements.
