Following on from the return of Intertraffic in March, we have now seen the return of the Parkex and Traffex exhibitions held at the NEC, here in the UK. Again this marked the return of another really important show in the calendar for many suppliers and manufacturers, including Metric, and it was great to be showing off our latest innovations to our home audience.
Once again the Micro Payment terminal and EV chargers were an incredibly popular talking point, with many demonstrations given as we explained how these could be integrated with parking systems and for a complete parking and charging solution. Many councils had staff attending over the 3 days and we were happy to provide demonstrations showing “G2C” – Government to Consumer integration on the Micro Terminal. This would allow residents to pay for parking EV Charging, pay a parking fine or even pay council tax, just using the Micro terminal.
In fact, this was 1 of 8 solutions at the show that was selected as an Innovation Trail Finalist. While we did not win this time, the additional exposure was good, and it was the only solution of its kind to be included on the Trail.
Many customers came to visit us over the 3 day event, mostley from UK organisations but there were a few international visitors also. For many, it was a first opportunity to be out, meeting and speaking with suppliers and clients at a trade show, for a few years. Many Metric Cream teas were eaten and many contacts were made.
We will be following up on contacts over the coming weeks, but if there is something you would like to discuss in the meantime, or a question you forgot to ask, please use the Contact Us form to get in touch.
